Switch release date
Moonlight Peaks launched on Nintendo Switch on July 7, 2026 in western regions — the same day as PC, Switch 2 and Android. There’s no staggered console delay in the west: original Switch and Switch 2 both went live day one, right alongside PC and Android.
The one exception is Japan and the wider Asia region, where the Switch and Switch 2 versions released July 9, 2026 — two days later — distributed by Clouded Leopard Entertainment, with English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and German language support.
Switch vs Switch 2 — which version?
Both versions exist; you don’t have to own a Switch 2 to play.

Physical Switch 2 Edition
If you prefer a box on the shelf, Marvelous Europe is releasing a physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition across Europe on August 28, 2026 for €49.99 / £44.99 — bundled with an exclusive collectible sticker sheet of the residents and a digital soundtrack.
